We are proud to announce that AE Direct Mail were named winners of the Merseyside Special Investment Fund and the Liverpool ECHO's 2008 Kickstart Award.

The Award was presented to Andrew Evers at the Grand Final in Liverpool's Hard Days Night Hotel on the 10th April 2008, by Steve Morgan, founder of building giant Redrow.

The Kickstart Award was created by MSIF & the ECHO in 2003 to encourage people to start their own business and create jobs in Liverpool.

Dragons Den TV star James Caan who attended the awards ceremony said. “I am delighted to join in the congratulations to Andrew & Elise. Who left good jobs, bought a loss making company, and turned it into a successful venture. This takes a lot of courage and determination.”

He also thanked the ECHO & MSIF for promoting entrepreneurship and business acumen.

The prize was £10,000 cash which will be spent replacing the 30 year old lighting system in our factory.
